Carol and I have the privilege of being at WinShape in Rome, Georgia, at the 2010 Marriage CoMission Summit gathering with wonderful men and women who are passionate about marriages, about the future of children, about our culture, and about Jesus Christ and the hope He alone brings. I am seeing how mentoring and relational discipleship are playing an ever-increasing role in the future revival for which we are praying. The revival we are seeking is not local or even national but international in scope as God prepares His people to be the beautiful bride Jesus Christ deserves as the head of the Church.
Being here with Carol is a sweet gift that others have made possible for me. She is truly my best friend and such a miracle in my life. She has been used of God to be a great blessing to many women around the world through the marriage conference work we have done together and will continue to be a significant player in the lives of countless couples who'll come to know her heart through The Basic Idea Ministries, as we mentor pastor/leader couples, help them start marriage ministries "top down", and do conferences wherever He calls us to go. We are beginning this venture knowing God is the One on whom we rely for everything we need. We don't change lives. He does. We love Him, each other, and others and speak truth in love creating environments where His Spirit will work miracles in the lives of couples who desperately need a personal miracle or deeply desire miracles for couples, families, and singles in their congregations, organizations, and communities.
